Moving in

WOW what a crazy couple of months we’ve had! We moved into our new home in February, and life has been a whirlwind ever since. We got our greenhouse build, started home renovations, and it seems like time has just disappeared. Our garden space has been tilled and fertilized, and though we are behind a bit, we plan to get most of the garden planted in the following 2 weeks. We’ve learn the hard way how detrimental predators can be - we’ve lost several chickens and the guineas slowly have disappeared. Our strawberry patch was decimated by deer, and I’m certain that won’t be my last complaint! It’s all part of this lifestyle, and you have to just move on and learn along the way.

Our home renovations are not yet complete, but we are getting close to having our living room and kitchen put together! We also brought in a group of 5 ducks to test out on our pond, and we have a shipment of Ancona chickens on the way - they are said to be excellent free rangers.

Our store building has been delivered, and it’s so exciting to have a home for the business side of the farm! It’s like watching my childhood dreams coming true.
